Inspired by my mother, I was always taking small flowers from anywhere, the garden, the street, behind school, and then drying them. I looked at them a lot, the way they would dry out. I remember wondering if they suffered, and how life was in them.
I started drying flowers inside books and all over my room. Then I started planting things in the yard; trying to see if they would last, and what I could do differently to each planting to make it last longer.  More >>
